FOILYAGE
Foilyage achieves that perfect sun-kissed look. Similar in technique to Balayage, highlights are “swept” onto the hair with a free and intuitive hand. However, instead of simply allowing the lightener to dry on the hair, sections of hair are covered in foils to lighten the hair further, amplifying the lifting effect of the highlights. Foilyage works well for any length of hair or color combination, however it’s a favorite for brunettes because the foil highlight technique keeps brassy and orange tones away, a common issue for brown hair.
Foilyage is easier to care for than Ombre or Balayage, making it a great choice for those who’d like to visit the salon less frequently. Since the base or natural color remains untouched at the top, with foliage you can easily go three to four months between a touch-up.
If you are looking for that beach blonde look or your hair is very dark and you are looking for a dramatic color transformation, then a foilyage / foliage is for you.
